Artist Statement

Graphite portraiture has allowed me to study many facial features. After finishing each portrait, I often find myself drawn to a specific feature. I took those features and displayed them in a Mr. Potato Head-esque fashion. Franken-Shorties is a collection of paper collages composed of clippings of graphite portraits from Shortytapes (Deluxe)Vol 1 & 2. Some of the collages have been color-graded using Lightroom.
